Ask Anicca Publisher Privacy Policy

Ask Anicca respects reader privacy and is designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible.

Subscriptions

Ask Anicca is published through Substack. When you subscribe, Substack may provide us with information associated with your subscription, such as your name, email address, subscription status, and basic engagement information.

We use this information only as reasonably necessary to operate the publication, communicate with subscribers, manage subscriptions, and understand general readership and engagement.

We do not sell or rent subscriber information.

Substack separately collects and processes information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.

Paid subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are processed through Substack and its payment providers, including Stripe. Ask Anicca does not receive or store your full credit card information.

Field Reports

From time to time, Ask Anicca may invite readers to submit anonymous Field Reports through a form hosted by Google.

Field Reports are intended to help identify recurring patterns, structures, questions, and experiences within the territory explored by Ask Anicca. They are not intended to create an individual advisory, therapeutic, coaching, or confidential relationship.

The Field Report form is designed not to request your name or email address. Please do not include information in a Field Report that could identify you or another person.

Field Reports may be reviewed, analyzed, grouped with other submissions, paraphrased, quoted in part, or otherwise used as source material for Ask Anicca publications, research, discussions, or related editorial work. When material from a Field Report is published, we will endeavor to remove or alter details that could reasonably identify the person who submitted it.

Because Field Reports may contain unique personal circumstances, complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed if you voluntarily include identifying details.

Google processes information associated with use of Google Forms according to Google’s own privacy practices.

Third-party services

Ask Anicca relies primarily on Substack to host and distribute the publication and may use limited third-party services, such as Google Forms, in connection with reader submissions. Those services may collect technical or usage information under their own privacy policies.

Data retention

Subscriber information is generally retained through Substack for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and administer the publication.

Field Reports and anonymized or de-identified material derived from them may be retained as part of Ask Anicca’s ongoing editorial and research archive.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from Ask Anicca at any time using the unsubscribe or subscription-management tools provided by Substack.
