Q: What is this place?

A: This place is a portal for confronting reality beyond the false self. A space for anyone sensing they’ve outgrown the stories that define them. ​Moving beyond humanity’s arrested development is an individual endeavor and begins by asking the one real question that exposes where you're stuck. ​The one that breaks the loop and opens the way forward to authentic human adulthood.

Q: Who is Anicca?

A:  Anicca is the author of Ask Anicca: Humanity’s Arrested Development and the Quest to Grow Up. Like you, I am a character within the dreamstate reality we all inhabit. Unlike you, I am awake, both within and from the dream. I’m someone who used radical self inquiry to dismantle the false self and become an authentic human adult. If I can do it, anyone can. The invitation is to stop wondering about who I am, and start questioning who you think you are.​

Q: Is Anicca a spiritual teacher?

A: No. I don’t teach or have students, nor do I consider this type of self-inquiry to be a particularly spiritual endeavor because it has nothing to do with seeking, improving, or achieving anything. The term “spiritual” typically implies the pursuit of enlightenment, inner peace, or a higher state of being, but this isn’t about any of that. It’s about dismantling the false self to become an authentic human adult.

Q: What kinds of questions can I ask?

A: This is not a place to ask advice & you probably don't belong here. This is not meant to offend, but it is meant to dissuade. Only one kind of question belongs here: the kind that costs you something to ask. The kind that threatens the story you live inside. This portal isn’t for casual curiosity or self-improvement, it's for real questions. Q: What kind of response will I receive?

A: Not advice. Not comfort. The response you’ll receive points you to the underlying, or protective, question. It won’t tell you what to believe or do. It will expose what’s keeping you from seeing. All questions are some version of the same question: "Outward?" All responses will be some version of pointing you inward. See examples in the Responses section.

Q: How will I receive my response?

A:  Responses are posted in the Responses section, typically within 72 hours.

Q:  Why do you charge a fee to answer questions?

A:  Fees support portal maintenance. Also, parting with your hard earned money provides an added layer of pressure for you to compose a better question, and only if you must.

Q:  Are questions anonymous?

A:  Yes, All questions and submissions are anonymous. The payment provider may collect default billing fields via checkout, but no personal identifiers are stored or used on our side.

Q:  Why can't I subscribe to be notified of new responses/content?

A:  I’m not here to manage your attention or build a funnel. I’m not looking to create dependence or build an authority drip trap. This is a space for intentional, self-directed people.
